More than 250 children in Gaza shot with live ammunition as protests escalate

Hundreds of children, some as young as eight years old, have been shot by live ammunition in the Gaza protests, an analysis by Save the Children has shown. 

Out of more than 500 detailed injuries in children, at least 250 (some 50 percent) were hit with live bullets, according to data collected by the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, which is also being used by the United Nations in its reporting.

أكثر من 250 طفلًا في غزة تم إصابتهم بالرصاص الحي أثناء تصاعد الاحتجاجات

 

 

أظهرت نتائج التحليل الذي أعدته منظمة Save the Children إصابة المئات من الأطفال، لم يتجاوز بعضهم عمر الثماني سنوات بالرصاص الحي خلال الاحتجاجات التي شهدتها غزة. فوفقاً لبيانات وزارة الصحة،والتي تستخدمها الأمم المتحدة في تقاريرها، بلغ مجمل عدد الأطفال المصابين جراء تلك المواجهات أكثر من 500 طفل بإصابات متفاوتة، تبين إصابة 250 طفلاً منهم على الأقل بأعيرة نارية ليشكلوا بذلك ما يقارب على 50% من مجمل تلك الإصابات

GIVING CHILDREN A HEAD START IN THE OCCUPIED PALESTINIAN TERRITORY

At the end of last month, Save the Children celebrated the successes of its Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) programme at an event hosted by its partner the Early Childhood Resource Center (ECRC). The event was attended by the Deputy Minister for Education, Dr Basri Saleh, the Director of the ECRC, Nabil Sublaban, Save the Children's West Bank Senior Area Manager, Dr Mohammed Awad, representatives of academic institutions and management and teachers from the kindergartens supported by the project.
